Internet Explorer has support for extensions.
They're called "Toolbars," and many people make them, such as MyWebSearch and EliteBar.
Ok, so I'm poking fun of some of its vulnerabilities there... And the correct terms for IE extensions are Browser Helper Objects or Add-ins.
Other ones you're probably familiar with: Google toolbar, MSN toolbar, Yahoo toolbar...

But other programs also integrate themselves into IE.
FreeDownloadManager.org has a great free download tool comparable to FF's FlashGot.
Want tabs? Download Maxthon or my personal favorite Avant Browser (AvantBrowser.com). It has tabs, flash blocking, multiple home pages, and much more. It uses the IE backend to render pages.
But the best thing is that when Microsoft updates their Internet Explorer with a minor update, they don't break most of their extensions, which require developers to re-write them for the new version.
It has its weaknesses, but with careful browsing, it shouldn't be a problem. It's not a problem for me...
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
