Internet Explorer error message/IE6

Nov 25, 2004 10:41PM PST

Help! I keep getting 'Microsoft IE has encountered a problem and needs to close. You will lose all information... send error report' It doesn't seem to matter at what time I'm doing this. It then shuts down the program and restarts my IP program. Checked with Microsoft-no updates needed & no answers on their
troubleshoot page.Please Help!!

Given only this much information, and that Windows 95/98/ME is DOS based with limited resources, no cure was ever offered for this issue.

You reboot and continue.

Would IEQ834707, IEQ833989 and Data Access Components KB870669 be conflicting with IE6SPI? I tried updating IE but didn't do any good. Think I will go to the new
Firefox browser. Thanx for your help.

I'll write no.

I had a ME box with all that but the resource issue still remains. You can get some relief by using the Optimizing Windows article at http://www.aumha.org/articles.htm as well as not allowing spyware on the machine.

You might try IEFix in add/remove programs. Select Microsoft IE> click on Add/Remove> select Repair internet explorer> click OK> restart computer.
