Internet Explorer Cache

Nov 22, 2003 12:15PM PST

On WinXP Pro Version 2002 Intel Pent. 4
512 MB Ram

What is a good number to set this slider at? Mine is currently at a figure over 2000.

Hoping to speed up my PC by adjusting/tweaking it here and there.

The higher space that you will allocate will increase speed while browsing frequently visited sites because the graphics and other contents are temporarily stored in the temporary folder. You can reduce the size if you are worry on disk space Happy

How Internet Explorer Cache Settings Affect Web Browsing

I think it doesn't matter if you set it to higher or lower size if you delete temp files everyday.

I wouldn't reccomend that because the more space u use the slower IE will run. 5-80 is reccomended by PCPitStop.com . I use 35 megabytes.

Cache set over 2000?
Nov 24, 2003 9:56AM PST

Maybe look at your settings again. I mean that is around 2 Gig, as far as I can tell. The setting there is in Megabytes.
A setting of about 30 seems reasonable, but 2000 Meg seems WAY too much. Just an opinion.
