Internet Explorer 8 not showing everything on page

by eastexas / November 29, 2009 6:43 AM PST

I don't have all these problems I have read about IE8. Although I'm using Google Chrome and it does the same thing but not on the same pages. Maybe it's an app problem on FaceBook. On a few of the app's the page loads and I can't see everything I see some of the lines and words but everything is in black and white mostly. I have dial-up through walmart and it's Netscape which is really AOL in there somewhere and it does the same thing. The reason I got Chrome is because IE8 and Netscape were seeing everything in black and white. IE8 just 30min ago when I went to Internet Explorer home page to start looking for a fix was all black and white. It maybe as far as I know. These pages here have color and I can see everything on the page. While I am on a FaceBook app that isn't coming in I can to the top ot the page and left click and hold it down like I'm going to cut or copy and I can see what is there but with like a blue screen. This is a Dell Optiplex GX-150 running XP home edition. I have had this problem every since I suckered myself into IE8 when 7 was just fine and I already had Chrome with themulti tabs I don't need IE8 Or 7 or at all I've become a Chrome man. Last thing I have problems of getting dropped off line and I know it's because I live out in the woods and there's nothing but copper line here so I keep my Windows Task Manager lit up so I can see if it's loading or not and I noticed that when I open IE8 under processes there are 2 I Explorer.exe running right now I have 3 chrome.exe running. did any of this make any sense????

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
