There are a few additional items to share.
1) When the browers is just sitting open, as it was on this forums page, with nothing happening, the CPU would spike to nearly 50 every 15 seconds or so. The spike was sometimes with jqs.exe and sometimes without. Could this be due to the add playing at the top of the page?
2) When iexplore.exe is open, there is one process for each tab that is open, plus one additional process running as well. It appears that one is for the tab that's open, which uses most of the CPU, then the second one runs in the background using little if any CPU or memory.
3) I have also run HiJackThis on the computer as well and can post the logs if needed.
4) I also defragmented the hard drive today to save some disk space. The disk is still mainly full with only about 20% free space available.
When using IE8 I seem to run into different problems with different websites. Many different websites cause the computer to slow to almost a completye stop. When looking at the CPU usage iexplore.exe isnormally at 99, or less often combines with CoreServiceShell.exe to reach 99 or 100.
It will often stop the computer long enough that no other processes can run at the same time.
Another issue is when submitting typed information on forums or business webpages the speed at which the letters shop up slows to roughly 1 letter every half second. The CPU usage is 100 when this occurs, but as soon as the typing is done drops to single digits.
What the heck could be causing this. I have run scans with Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2012 and MalwareBytes. Trend Micro found 2 issues, a malware and an threat. MalwareBytes found nothing, but was scanned after the Trend Micro scan. The typing issue is occuring as I type this right now.
What can I do to fix this, because I use this computer for work and this hurts productivity?
