"newly established peer-to-peer ad hoc wep secured network " is strange though. A normal setup is from dsl/cable modem -> router -> PCs. Other than that and you may be asking for trouble. Try a normal configuration.
Downloaded IE 7 UPDATE to IE 6 today on 1 laptop [good thing did not do on both]. Was working nicely well right after d'load; even had 'phishing' website screen as part of security. Upon logging /powering off, and powering on again 6 hrs later [had to go to classes]...IE 7 cannot display webpages any longer
Saying 'wireless-service disabled' when the connection and signal strength, on newly established peer-to-peer ad hoc wep secured network [just started to work last night!], is 100% excellent.
Both peer laptops are WinXP home SP2; client is where I d'loaded IE 7...Please help...thanks.
