Resolved Question

internet explorer

Oct 29, 2011 12:16AM PDT

My laptop continually gives me a message that interet explorer has stopped working.

This happens every time I go from one web site to another and I have to click on "close the program" to get rid of the pop up. Any ideas how to fix this?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1725 running Vista Home Premium

Re: IE problems

The usual cause: some add-on.

Go into Tools>Manage add-ons. Disable all and see if it's better now. Then one-by-one enable the add-ons you really need until you find the one that causes it. Disable that again.

IE problems

I disabled all add-ons and the problem is gone. Now I suspect I have to enable them one by one to find out which one causes the problem, correct? When I find it what can I do besides leaving it disabled?

Yeah a lot of those toolbars cause major problems. I have had to uninstall a few to get my computer working back right.
