Internet cuts off each time I try to play a game

Aug 27, 2008 11:59AM PDT

Using WinXP. Have cable modem connection and sign on to Internet using AOL 9.0, not Internet explorer. I understand AOL uses a built-in browser. I like to play games on various sites, i.e. aol, yahoo, pogo, etc. Examples of games I play are AOL Word Whomp, Poppit, Text Twist and others. When on the Internet, I click on AOL Games link, the game starts to load on my screen, then suddenly the Internet cuts off and I'm looking at the Windows desktop. I used Windows Restore feature and restored to an earlier date several times, but no help. I used Aol's "fix" and it didn't help. I uninstalled AOL 9.1 and went back to AOL 9.0, and that didn't help. I have added no new software. Can anyone tell me what I can do to stop this? Thanks you.
