NEVER CLEANUP A WORKING SYSTEM!
NEVER EVER.
Now that you broke it, your training kicks in or you call the company that set this up to fix it.
This is how most new networkers learn this lesson.
I recently tried to clean up our rack. Everything was hanging in front and it was difficult to work on anything, much less even see what was there due to the spaghetti mess. None of the cables were labeled. I ended up disconnecting all cables from the switches (5 switches total - Cisco SF200-24). I didn't keep track of the exact port (or the exact switch for that matter) that every cable was connected to. Since I re-ran the cables and reconnected them to the switches we have had trouble with internet connectivity. Apprx only 30% of all the computers on our campus will have internet connection at one time. All computers will at least identify as being connected to our network, but the internet is spotty. Some even say that that have internet access but they don't. PLEASE HELP!!!
