Internet browsing problem

by stensou / October 22, 2011 6:01 AM PDT

I'm in need of advice, help etc.
I have tried 3 different internet bowsers, IE, Mozilla and Opera and all have issues with loading selected websites. Example on IE, I constantly get "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page." After going through the usual refresh page etc, when the page does appear, there is the yellow diamond in the lower left corner that says "error on page." So, trying the 3 different browsers and having problems with all 3 tells me the problem is with something in my pc. I've tried so many ways to fix this problem and I've struck out. I've googled this as well as you tube for remedies and nothing worked.
I want to be able to fix this myself rather than getting it fixed by a pc repair person.
I'd appreciate any help with this. If you need more info to help me ask away and I'll respond with answers.
Thanks in advance. Bob

Alas, those 2 problems ("can't display" and "error on page") are totally unrelated.

Luckily, the second one isn't serious. Consider it a warning. It either happens if the developer made some javascript error on the page, or (quite common also) your internet security program (or your hosts files) blocks part of the javascripts needed by the page.

That leaves only one problem. But that's quite difficult to solve, because it seems it goes well the second time.
