If this person you speak of is a friend, do him/her a favor and do NOT tell 'em about the BOL lounge...
If you're speaking for yourself, how can we help?
Regarding a brief discussion on episode: 02/20/07 - Very Sirius merger news, I have an experience regarding Internet Addiction.
First, when I was a teenager (single child), the internet was my source of comfort and I found myself on it CONSTANTLY. Back then, there was no web 2.0 applications or MySpace websites, just adult chatrooms. I soon realized my need for the internet was a bit much so I've learned to manage reality and inter-reality.
Secondly, my roommate is a mad addict. He's constantly on the internet via MySpace, reading headline news, surfing dirty websites, browsing shops, checking bank statements, paying bills, instant messenger chats, video chats, and more dirty dirty things. He would literally take his laptop to the restroom with him, be on it during dinner, and even to bed. It's rare when I don't see him on the computer. His addiction is so bad that he lost a 2yr relationship b/c of it and a recent one as well. I try to get him to the gym w/ me or to take evening classes and divide his world... but nope, the world-wide-web has got him.
