Windows 8 Metro screen is a busy thing. There is no idle. Microsoft has tossed out the idea of the computer goes idle.

hey bob thank for responding well I was checking some local services on my computer and found that there was one running non stop. I disabled it and now things are back to normal its true what you are saying but I also believe that you can keep things to a minimum

It was pretty bad as it was fetching this and that without asking!

The social media and "Hey, watch my desktop!" craze seems to be all there. I'm back to normal with Classic Shell.
