I use a Tenda W368R Wireless-N Broadband Router. I have 3 desktops with wired connections, one with WiFi and a laptop with WiFi. I also have a Google Nexus 7 tablet, and they all work off of this router problem free. These are $15 at the local store. YMMV.
Good luck.
At home, I have a Linksys Smart Wi-fi Router AC 1750 HD Video Pro (EA6500). I just bought a new laptop, an XPS 15 Touchscreen, and was trying to link it up to the wireless network. However, my initial tries weren't working so I reset the network. The laptop then connected to the network, but then my desktop completely lost internet access (a message of: Network 3 - Local only). The only solution I found for this was to directly hardware my desktop to the modem, but then I had to compromise my wireless network connection....and after I did the direct hardware to my desktop, I tried to regain the wireless network, but it no longer works! I've tried some solutions suggested on youtube and this site but to no avail and I am at my whit's end. if anyone could suggest a solution I would be really grateful!
