within 1 or 2 minutes of signing on to the internet my computer pops up with a error window that says system shutdown. the system is shutting down save all work. the shutdown was initated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. the window starts counting down from 60 seconds. in the same window it says Windows must restart because the Remote Procedure Call service terminated unexpectedly. after the timer gets down to zero the computer shuts down and restarts.

it sounds to me like your computer is being controlled by someone else. have you got a firewall and antivirus programs in place? it takes on average less than 10 seconds from the time you first connect an unprotected computer to the Internet before you are infected by your first virus.

This is the "blaster worm" i got it too.
Its a pain in the **** virus that gets XP, NT and 2000 OS's.
You need to get a fix for the blaster worm using another computer then run it on your machine.
Microsoft.com will have it I guess or try google if you hate going to the MS web page for anything .
just search for "Blaster worm Fix " . should get you what you need.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
