Internal Drive For Laptop Computer

Sep 13, 2010 8:23AM PDT

Can someone tell me if they make internal drives for laptop computers that will play music CDS, DVD movies and programs recorded on DVD RAM discs????
It would be nice to be able to watch TV shows that I recorded on my Panasonic DVD Recorder using a DVD RAM DISC and be able to watch them on my laptop computer as well.

I'm going with unlikely.

What I discovered was that my laptop could not play DVDs recorded with my Philips UNLESS I finalized the media. It's been 3+ years and I have yet to find a way to crack that but since finalizing fixed it that's what I do.

Called 3 Places

Thanks for the reply!!!!
I called 3 different repair places and all of them told me that my laptop should play DVD RAM discs without a problem but it doesn't!
Is there at least and external drive that I could use for my laptop that plays DVD RAM DISCS????

We still have that finalizing issue to deal with.

Post again the exact model of the dvd ram recorder or better yet a link to the user manual.

Here's an external that reads DVD-RAM and it does not mean that it can read and play the recorded media. That's due to what's on the media, if it's finalized and more.
