We started having intermittent sound loss (only lasting a second or so) but at regular intervals on our Samsung surround system that is connected to our Samsung smart tv and virgin TiVo box, this only happened after we had a loss of service from virgin on Christmas Eve for about 2 hours. When the service was resumed we noticed this intermittent sound loss. Searched on internet but couldn`t find anything so started going through all the settings to try and fix it and what eventually fixed it was to revert to factory settings on the surround sound. Just thought I would share with folks in case somebody has the same problem.
