We see this issue a lot in the Networking forum. Mostly when folk use no security or WEP for the WIFI connections. This is often the first time they learn that WEP is prone to interference like that.

I have a brand new HP desktop (3 months). On day 2 or 3, I started losing my internet connection intermittently. Usually got it back by disabling and re-enabling the network card. I had my service provider out to check everything and my internet service checks out, including the internal wiring in the house. HP has had me do a bunch of things, including looking for malicious software using several different software, and including three full system recoveries, the last one from the original CD's. They then changed my mother board. Problem is still there. I have internet most of the time but once in a while I lose the connection. When I lose the connection, rebooting or disabling and re-enabling the network card brings the internet back, but often times I lose it several times in a period of an hour or two. Sometimes I can go two or three days without losing the connection at all. All other computers in my house work fine; they never lose the connection, connected to the same router.
When you talk to HP you talk to people in India and Mexico and it's pretty clear that they don't know much. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
