Pravda, comrade....

http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/columnists/107459-0/

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

I wouldn't worry too much

You've got a long way to go yet before the US sinks into Marxist Socialism.

But true, it's a step in the right direction.

You think it's the right direction?
Mar 29, 2010 7:09AM PDT

It worked out so well in Russia, China, Cuba, Cambodia, Bulgaria, Venezuela, etc.

At least we know where you're coming from. Most other commies lie and try to conceal their true nature.

Ahh, name calling

I was joking.

No, I took you at your word.

Not much of a joke.

Oh, did you have one of those smilies on it or something? I have those things blocked.

I wonder, did you check out the author

Here's his blog.

Some of the little I read there makes me discredit much of his impartiality, objectivity, and real intent.

I'm sure he is not impartial...
Mar 29, 2010 7:49AM PDT

but that doesn't mean his experience and opinion is invalid.

Opinions are never invalid
Mar 29, 2010 8:04AM PDT

at least to the one holding them. Validity to society is totally dependent on how many actually consider his opinion and act on it, for good or bad. Validity in regards to reality may require the perspective of long term history, in other words, hindsight from the future.

His experience is interesting described as being of the socialist/communist experiment ran on his country by the Wall Street bankers.

Just one tiny facet of the article linked, but a rather unusual one it would seem to me. Other statements in other blog entries beg skepticism of his intent, accuracy, or even seriousness.

Of course, that's only another opinion, perhaps as useful or useless as his.

I knew a woman from the Soviet Union...
Mar 29, 2010 8:01AM PDT

She had worked for Soviet Life and was well traveled for a Soviet citizen. I don't remember how she got out, but it was always interesting to hear her take on how we in the US saw things.

She felt we were very spoiled and did not at all appreciate the advantages our freedoms gave us, compared to the USSR and even other European countries.

She died several years ago. I sometimes wonder what she would think of the ways things have been going nowadays.

Sounds delusional to me ...

Some of the things he said in other posts make me wonder what alternate reality he is living in.
