That's something I never had to use. I've used the old fashioned instal for years where we get the drivers from the maker and install them in the right order.
For example, if someone forgets the motherboard drivers then the video driver will indeed fail.
Laptops however are usually stuck with the maker's drivers.
Can you reveal why you can't use the maker's drivers? Sometimes you find an owner desperately hoping a driver will improve their games.

i'm trying to update my intel hd graphics driver with no success as of yet. i've used drivermax to update and when the driver tries to install the screen goes black. i tried installing the drivers manually from intel's website and i kept getting error messages saying the driver was not validated for this computer and that i needed drivers from the manufacturers website. i then downloaded the driver from asus' site and still got the same message stating that the drivers were not validated for this computer. so i'm now in a bind. obviously something's up when even the intel vga driver downloaded from asus' website will not install. any help in resolving this matter will be greatly appreciated.
