Question

intel dp55wb stuck on logo screen HELP

Oct 4, 2018 7:16PM PDT

Hi my Intel dp55wb board is messed up. When i turn it on all it shows is a screen with Intel logo and it doesn't boot into bios or os. I really need help because I am a student and all my stuff is on that computer and i need to use it and i can't afford another computer. my system is intel Xeon x3450 and 8 GB ram. I tried everything, reseating GPU and memory, taking out CPU, resetting bios and replacing CMOS battery. I also tried moving the jumper pin to the other pin and it gave an option to access bios settings and I have to press some keys but when I press it nothing happens and I cannot access the bios at all. I tried holding down the key but it just started beeping whenever I pressed it. Can someone please help?

Well, all your stuff is still on the hard disk or in the cloud or on you backup, so you really lost nothing. The only issue is that you can't use it while your PC is broken.

Find a repair shop and see if they can fix it. If the motherboard is broken, let them install another motherboard, that does support your current CPU and RAM. You might be able to find a second-hand one rather cheap.
But you might need a new Windows license on a different motherboard. That ain't cheap. In that case, consider switching to Linux if you don't need programs that only run in Windows for your study.
