Time to go get a board that you have a maker's web site and they note Vista.

Let's try again.

You have a laptop that came with some OS. I would be guessing you tried to install Vista and discovered it's not ready. Your post doesn't tell the full story and it appears there is no web site with drivers or updates to address this (I didn't search but take your word that you tried.)

Here's my advice. Install the OS that the machine came with.

That's proper.

The laptop maker alters or adjusts drivers and more to get it to work proper. You are not supposed to swap the restore DVDs among machines.

Now use the restore media for that laptop.

Sorry.

I read your reply that you used some other computer's restore DVD.

-> At this point you have a warranty issue. The product is defective and you need to call it in.

Hi. I need to update my BIOS (A1034IL1 V1.20 09/01/06)to support 4GB, but not find a BIOS updated.
Your BIOS seems to be newer than mine.
Can you help me?

that the post you are replying to was made in 2008? I doubt that poster is still tracking this discussion.

About your BIOS. Your first step will be to visit the American Megatrends Inc web site and follow the instructions there;
