you didn't delete the old partition before you installed.
When you put the XP CD in the drive and booted up, you would have seen the option to delete an old parition.

You could, of course, just delete those old folders.
Hi I currently reinstall windows xp but my disk space (C: drive) is currently 64.4GB/74.4GB. I was wondering what do I need to do to make my disc space how it was when I first got my pc brand new? I fiqured reinstalling windows XP would delete everything on that c:/ drive but it seems it didnt for me. after im done reinstalling windows xp i am able to browse old folders which i thought were suppose to be deleted.
