Insufficient Resources???

I am running two different computers, both running windows XP, SP2, and both computers have experienced the same problem. They run fine, but after sitting idle for several hours, the computers freeze up and "insufficient Resources" pops up. I can only close down the computers by shutting the power off.
This problem was so severe on one computer that I reformatted the hard drive and reloaded Windows with a minimum of applications, including Zone Alarm Internet Suite. However, this computer has again frozen with the "insufficient resources" message.
I have up to date Internet/Virus Security software (Zone Alarm or Norton) and use MS Anti-spyware program on both.
Any ideas?

This issue is widely noted and may be tied to the make/model/chipset of the motherboard. For instance, some Nvidia based boards do this with specific software.

But you are not seeing the forum tip so you didn't supply the needed info. Here's the tip so you can fill in the blanks -> Tip: If you are asking for help to troubleshoot a computer-related problem, please be sure to include all the necessary information (ie: operating system, model number, hardware, software, etc) that will help others identify your problem for a speedy resolution.
