instruction at "0x76c91645" referenced memory at "0x00000014". The memory could not be "read". What does this mean. I keep getting this error and now I can only open in IE browser in safe mode. Can anybody help or offer any suggestions?

Sounds like a memory problem

I received a similiar cryptic message (among other "odd" behavior). I am pretty certain (98%) that it was due to faulty memory. Have you added memory lately?

I kept the original two sticks of memory in the machine and it ran fine. I then removed those two and replaced them with the new memory. I got the error right away. I then removed one of those sticks and again, got the error. I then removed that stick and replaced it with the other "new" module and it's been running great (fingers crossed) for about 9 days now.

I'd suggest you check the memory and see if that's the cause.

Good luck,

Graham
