Read a few and it seems this happens when the CD is not original. Try the version MSFT sent out.
I am having a problem the install stopped at PLUGIN.ocx from what I gather the XP PRO cd does not have that file on it. So... I downloaded it onto a cd and the laptop does not recognize it on the cd. I'm at a loss because I don't know how to get the file into the computer. there is not an operating system on the hard drive. and I am really just a beginner is there a way I can get the computer to recognize the file I burned on a cd? I am using an original windows install disk with the hologram on it, on my DELL Latitude D800 laptop.
You don't tell WHEN this happens and WHAT EXACTLY happpens.
But let's suppose the program ask you something like "Do you want to skip this file, so this program can try to continue without it", you can answer Y and see what happens. But if the program just stops with an error message you can't.
So at the moment the only one that can answer your question is YOU.
