But there's no support from Microsoft. That's the difference.
I want to get a "Microsoft Windows XP Home With SP2B for System Builders 1 Pack - OEM " from newegg and install it on a laptop. can i buy this and stick it on a laptop or do i need to be a licensed "system builder"? also, i'm assuming with oem you can replace as many parts as you want in the laptop(ie. ram, hd...) except the mobo, and keep your product key active. is this correct? i'm putting a laptop together and planning on putting an oem version of xp in. i just want to be sure it works and that i won't run into any problems. does the oem version from newegg( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116056 ) come with a COA? is the installation process with oem the same as it would be with retail? what would i need to do to install an oem version of xp? thanks
