Installing Windows XP

HI

I have just recently had to format the c drive - hence i need to reinstall xp.

PROBLEM: i dont have the start up disk on floppy and the xp disk doesnt do anything when i put it into the cdrom drive upon start up. Where can i get a copy of the startup disk on floppy?

Cheers
Stuart

the windows xp cd is bootable. you don't need a floppy like in the old days. if you are familar with your BIOS go into it and change the boot order to cd,hdd0,floppy. or any setting that tells the BIOS to look for the boot record from cd before hdd0 (hdd0 being your harddrive). once this is done, have the xp cd in your cd player when the system turns and you should get a message that says press any key to boot from cd. press any key and the xp install will launch from the cd.

good luck
