Installing usb mp3 player

May 23, 2005 7:55AM PDT

Help!!!
I have already successfully installed and used 2 Bush mp3 players on my PC. I have just purchased a generic brand mp3 player that isn't recognised as a removable storage device in my computer. It came with a Win 98 driver, but I have XP Professional (so shouldn't need one). My hardware device manager is showing the yellow question mark and black exlamation mark, the system seems to need a driver, I have tried to use the 98 driver with no success as it still fails to recognise that the device is connected.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, I'm about to pull my hair out!!!

Consumers need to never accept such defects and certain products with no web sites or visable support.

Hi thanks for replying so soon.

You really think this one is DOA? I know I have been buying cheap product, but to have 2 mp3's in the last two days not recognised by my system is a bit frustrating. Think i'll buy a more expensive brand instead.

Hard to tell.

But with no make, model, website, and no visible support it sounds like that AUTOBABY disaster. They were cheap, but no support meant a lot of lost time for everyone.

Imagine if you had a car like that.
