My friend want's to install Linux on his Widnows XP Acer Laptop with Intel Celetron.

I have download the .iso file for DVD of opensuse and put it on a DVD...

It works fine using the DVD, but my friend wants me to install it on his computer so he won't need to use the CD.

How do I do that?

Look on google for "poor man's install" for Linux. Safest way I know. To use it on an XP system though you'd need to create a FAT32 partition. The alternative is to install the Linux on the same drive and hope you don't trash your XP.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
