Installing Front Row on an iBook. Is this one safe?

Jan 31, 2007 12:41PM PST

I've found a Front Row install, that looks good. It is controlled by the keyboard. It is found here:

Does anybody see problems with this install? I have a iBook G4 14'' (MID 2005) Version 10.4.8.
512 memory.

Thanks!

I would seem as though nobody else has tried this either.

You could be the first and let us all know how it goes

The point of installing a piece of remote control software, for use with your keyboard, is what?

I can launch iTunes, etc., control volume, change tracks, run slide shows quite easily when I'm sitting in front of my machine. I just use my mouse.

Well, it looks much better/cooler, and I can view full size photos. I don't want to mess up my computer, though...

Ok, it looks cool, but:

Take a moment to think about how it displays full size photo's. (I guess you men full screen).
It uses iPhoto to do that.

If Front Row uses iPhoto to display full screen photo's, then it follows that you should be able to do the same thing.

Check it out. Select a few photo's and click SlideShow

I have Front Row installed on my G4 PowerBook and it works just fine. Installing Front Row on your iBook wont harm your computer, it's safe.
