installing floppy disk dell dimension 310

I tried to install a floppy disk in the dell dimension e 310. At first is said it recognized the disk drive , but the light on the drive did not go on and it didnt recognize a floppy disk. now the computer do not list a flopy disk drive.

i would appreciate any help in solving this problem

Did you check any of the BIOS options to see if it had to

be identified, turned on or enabled ?

Sure the floppy cable is catching all the PINs ?

And the floppy power is connected ?

Iwent to the bios under drives diskette drive it says off =all floppy drives disabled. how do I turn this from off to on.

You'll just have to look around that specific screen
