Question

installed new hard drive vostro 3400

Apr 14, 2013 10:07PM PDT

I have installed a new hard drive on Dell Vostro 3400. The last hard drive had crashed. I downloaded some drivers from the Dell website - http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/au/en/aulca1/Product/vostro-3400 onto a USB drive. However when I startup the system and boot from the USB drive, it comes up with the message "missing operating system"....

I have misplaced the driver CDs that came along with the laptop. Can I get the driver CDs from Dell again or is there a different link to download the drivers other than the one mentioned above? Thanks

I think it came with Windows 7.

(NT) Ask Dell if they have the same for 7.
