I cant get rid of ie.

i've made firefox default many times.
i've clicked the box for ie to check to see if it default browser. and i've tried it unclicked.

either way, when i start my juno, it always uses the internet explorer instead of firefox.

i dont want to remove ie, i just want to have firefox the default browser.

do i need to click and reset all internet programs to default?

ie6. firefox 1 or 1.5

Try this...

I haven't used Juno in years so it may be that it is designed to launch Internet Explorer regardless of what browser you have set as default. However, I would suggest going Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs and then selecting "Set Program Access and Defaults" from along the left-hand side. On the next screen expand Custom and select Firefox as your default browser. That will take care of it in most cases.

Hope this helps,
John

Unfortunately the self-help included with software is quite limited, both in the number topics covered and in the successful matches found by a search. Thus, forums such as these get a lot of traffic. Questions about setting program defaults are fairly common and thankfully usually simple to fix, though it does occasionally come down to manual modification. Glad the easy method worked for you, though.
