Installed CPU now Windows isn't working!

Ive just upgraded my old i3 CPU to a i5 and the computer is turning on properly (fans are working and lights too) and in the screen monitor it appears the bios and when I save and save and exit from BIOS (without making any changes) windows won't start up but computer is still on withou showing anything on the screen HELP!

What happens if you put the old CPU back? Does it work again then, or did you mess up?

Next time check to see if it's set to boot from the hard drive with windows on it.

You'll Probably Need To Reinstall Windows

If you're using the same hard drive with your previously installed version of Windows, it's entirely possible you need to reinstall Windows, programs, and all drivers from scratch. It's common where the old installation of Windows is unable to recognize the new processor and all its requirements. As such, wiping the drive and reinstalling Windows should get it done.
