Question

Installed 850 evo after HD crash

Had an issue with the old hd (click of death) on my Toshiba S55-A5294 after a drop. I was not able to transfer anything from old hd. I installed a Samsung Evo 250GB ssd. Now what? I get Checking media-fail then no bootable device.

Small world.

Another Toshiba at home so when we got it we made the recovery media. (Doesn't every one?)

So pull out that and use that to get it back to factory condition. Did you forget to make those? Order it from Toshiba.
