I have a pc that has a bad CD/ROM ! But, i would like to know how i can install windows without a CD/ROM, preferably a USB ! I know installing windows from a USB is possible but, i need directions.

My motherboard is,,,,,, via ak77-8xn

Any help ?

Installing Windows 7 via USB has web pages I can find with google.

Can you share which page you read and what step you didn't understand?

...after you install the NEW operating system, why not simply replace the bad CD-ROM with a NEW DVD burner.. You'll want one eventually anyway.

On our computers, if something's broke, we fix it before updating the operating system.
