the Office XP Removal Wizard will remove enough of Office to enable an uninterrupted reinstall: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011362891033.aspx
I'm not 100% sure this will run in ME, but it's worth a try.

I am using Win ME and has been using office 2000 Standard.Recently,I did a system recovery and now when i tried to install office again,i am having problem.
When I install it,there was no problem.After downloading the update SR-1 from microsoft website.I encounter some problems.My wallpaper went missing,it became a blank screen.It keep prompting me to install and key in product key.However when i did that,it says that it is an invalid key.When i unistall and reinstall,it says that it has been install successfully.It problem is only happening for Word.What is the problem,can anyone help pls.
