I've used the ftp install method for such machines. Thankfully we've thrown it out over the years since without CDROM drives we found support to be too costly. As such, the knowledge of any method is something I don't care to look into.
Hook up to your network and use the ftp method. I will not copy web content in my responses since this method is on the web.
I have a laptop that does not have a CD or DVD drive. I have copied the files from the Suse 9.1 installation DVD. I have created the bootdisk and I have gotten to the point in the installtion where it ask "please enter the source directory". It is at this point where I am not sure how to proceed.
I have installed Win98 this way on another laptop and everything worked fine and I am assuming Linux is no different in this fact.
