INSTALLABLE ISAM - ACCESS 2000

Nov 5, 2004 1:51AM PST

I have Access 2000 installed on an F partition of my hard drive and am having problems importing/exporting tables/databases, etc.

It seems that an installable ISAM might be related to this problem...my XP system possibly can't find it.

Can someone expand upon this installable ISAM topic and how I can get my system to recognize it?

Please excuse me if this request is not listed under the ACCESS - IMPORT PROBLEMS (or some subject similar to that). These two subjects are related and I'm just learning how to get around this helpful BB.

Many thanks.

Sadly you didn't share one problem or one error message. As such you have made a post much like "It doesn't work" without telling what you did up to that point and what messages you are seeing.

Fill in some blanks.

Hi Bob,

Sorry about my posts; you're right. Basically, all I knew was that I couldn't get import options; the import function didn't fully work so I was just trying to get information in the right direction so that I could do further research.

Bottom line...problem solved using Regsvr32 to associate file (ie. msexcl40.dll for excel) with the register ????

Don't know the technical jargon but got function working via the Microsoft knowledge base.

Appreciate your responses in giving me direction both in posting on this site and how to resolve my problems.

Aloha,

John
