Notice the drivers were not on a web server but on a FTP server you had to ask them in order to find them?
As to installing XP on SATA, that's been discussed many thousand times so I won't address that.
i have a HP DV 6000 laptop that i am trying to put a new Hard rive into...going from 80gb to 120gb and want to install windows xp. well i changed the drive ok and it went well except when i went to load the OS. the preliminry went ok then i got message saying "set up did not find any hard drive disk installed in your computer" I checked and found that there are no jumpers required as there were none on old drive and that i need device drivers? well how do i get them and from where and how do i install them without an operating system?
