Question

Install GTA V to different location

Oct 27, 2016 3:54PM PDT

Hi there,

I'm trying to install GTA V back onto my laptop following a system reset. I'd like to put it in D drive, as it's much bigger. When I previously did this, it did not create a folder and just placed a load of files into my D drive. How can I make sure this time it creates a folder when installing it?

Thanks Liz

Answer
I'd create a folder to start with.

Call it what you want and watch carefully during the install questions. If this is Steam based, there are other answers out there. But you didn't call it Steam based so I pause here.

Thanks for your quick response. I must admit I'm not sure it is steam based!

Only half my reply was posted for some reason! I'm not sure if it is steam based. If it's not, When I do create a new file is there anywhere specific within the D drive I should place it?

Tell us if you use a dvd or from the web.

Not yet.

But I will do. Should I place the folder I create in any specific location within my D drive or just in the main D drive folder?

Thanks
