Install can't find file

by fafner / November 28, 2009 3:44 AM PST

I'm trying to install an update to a program I already have installed, but I'm getting this error message..."Can't find MSMAIN.msi".
My question is can I get this MS installer anywhere by itself, or am I going to have to uninstall and reinstall this program from the disc?
Thanks.

I'd start with a simple reinstall ...

continuing on what Bob says below: it might be a good idea to tell what program you're talking about if you repost because the first try (reinstall from the original disk) didn't help.

The program is a update to Mapsource (Garmin Mapping Software) from one ver. 6.15.6 to ver. 6.15.7
I figured this MS unloader is probably on the orginal disc, but I was hoping it could be as simple as finding the MSMAIN.msi either on the MS web site or on the net somewhere...or not it seems.

Appears that it'll probably take a uninstall and reinstall from the disc.

I meant to say installer, not unloader.
