Question

Install Acrobat WHAT??!!

Jul 13, 2012 11:28AM PDT

After realizing my Charter Enhanced e-mail was not secure because the address for the page starts w/"http" not "https:" their IT instructed me to remove & reinstall Adobe. Ok, but WHICH one, I did not have a plain "Adobe" listed in my Programs & Features window (Where I uninstall & install programs). When I contacted them again, they said I should be able to get it from the Adobe site or the Download-Cnet site. I do not see anything for just Adobe. I do have a listing for "Acrobat.com" that was installed on the system when it was built probably. I am running Windows Vista & have Adobe AIR, Flash Play 11 ActiveX, Reader X (10.1.3), which I downloaded yesterday thinking this was the correct thing & Shockwave Player 11.6. Any suggestions?"

I wonder if they mean...

I read your post and was as confused as you.

But I wonder if they mean to remove any Adobe add-ons from the email software, then reinstall them.

Although I'm still stumped why doing that would make the email secure.
