Instalation problem

by waltv / July 8, 2007 6:52 AM PDT

I am having problems when trying to install some programs like Ad-Aware and ZoneAlarm (new update). When trying to install, it send me a message telling: "(aaw2007 or zonealarm) is not a valid Win32 application". I have an AMD Semprom 3500 with XP Home. What that means and what should I do?. Thanks, Walt

You say "install some programs" and "new update".

Are you installing programs or updating existing programs.

not a valid Win32 application is a microsoft thing, maybe the file is corrupt, damaged or whatever.

Delete the files and if you like run a reg cleaner such as CCLEANER then try again.

Are you downloading from a reputable site?

Hi, Tom. Thanks for your reply. I have zone alarm last version and I am trying to update to the new version. I do not have Ad-Aware installed in my pc. I have CCleaner and run it everyday when I log-on and log-off. I download only from CNET or from the sites they give as alternatives.

And you might also want to "save" the installer of Ad-Aware and ZoneAlarm in your desktop then run the setup from the desktop.
You may delete the installers when you succeed with the installation.
