1. The i5 5200 has this GPU:

2. The other has an added GPU:

You can compare them but 3D Mark 11 alone with the Intel 5500 at 960 and the AMD at 1900+ tells me the AMD GPU will really make the graphic works fly compare to the 5500.
The Ultra result in The Witcher 3 of AMD 3.2 and Intel 1.9 looks to tell the tale as well.
3. One looks to have a speedier 7200 RPM drive. That will help overall.
Nod to the Tosh.
4. In parting I find Inspirons to have lack luster displays. Not terrible but for graphic work I never advise to get an Inspiron without them knowing going it that it's usually not that good. Just workable.
For graphic work, the one with the AMD GPU.
Trying to decide which would be the best buy for my partner, and currently have it nailed down to 2 options within our budget of £500 top.
She does use Photoshop, not commercially, but I'd like it to perform as good as I can for her - given the budget.
Other then that just the usual browsing, videos etc.
Here's the choices with specs.
Inspiron 17 5000
i5(5200U 3MB) 8gb(DDR3L) 1TB/5400rpm
Video:Vid Intel HD
Toshiba Satellite Pro C70-B
i5(4210U 3MB) 6GB(DDR3L) 500GB/7200rpm
Video:AMD Radeon R7 M260 - 2 GB DDR3
Main thing I don't understand here is the Video card, so if anyone could explain that ? The Dell one seems quite a 'generic' description.
HDD capacity is irrelevant to us - anything 500GB+ is fine.
Apart from that, the main differences as I see them :
The Dell has a slightly better i5 model, more RAM
The Tosh has has a 7200 HDD
How to tie all those pieces of information together to make a decision, I have no idea.!!
Hope someone can chip in with some wisedom ?
