It makes a long time that I did find a solution to a problem !
Sincerly, I really do not know ... I have no DVD at home. I did not have the time to buy me DVDs because my optical drive on my desktop PC is not able to burn DVDs so DVD burning is a world that I did not explore ...
Hum ... But I did some test with NERO CD-DVD Speed and here are the results :
I also made a Nero InfoTool report :
Nero InfoTool 4.03
Drive : TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L532B
Type : DVD
I have the Inspiron 6400 that comes with the 8X DVD Burner model TSST CORP DVD+-RW TS-L532B.
The burner does not record DVDs faster that 2.4x when they are supposed to record at 8x and I alreday checked and both the primary and secundary IDE Channels are running on DMA modes. It aint the media because I have tried different brands that support up to 16x and have also used different burning software. Other than this, the dvd works fine.
Ghost26, I know you just got this computer too, can you check your dvd and see if this is normal or mine is faulty?
Anyone else with the same problem?
What can it be?
