You pack the drive covered with many 100 dollar bills to data recovery houses such as ontrack.com drivesavers.com and such.
Just asking. Is this the first time for such a loss? Many learn about backup this way.
Bob
My laptop was working fine, then power in the house went off and on 3-4 times in about 10 seconds. The computer was working until I rebooted the laptop about 30 minutes after the power fluctuation. It states that "Primary hard disk drive 0 not found" "No bootable devices--strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility"
Looking in the bios it says "none" for hard disk drive but it registers the soundcard, cdrw, and graphics card.
The hard drive make is an IBM TRAVELSTAR MODEL IC25N020ATDA04-0 4200 RPM
Is there a way to get the data off of the hard drive?
