Draw it in your graphics program and insert that graphic.

I have a PowerPoint slide for an engineering oresentation that is supposed to illustrate the way a gas disperses if a leak occurs. The problem is I can not insert ahalf elipse or half circle to properly represent the dispersal. So far, I've had to just put a straight line at the point where the gas dissipates but that is not what I wanted.
Any ideas?
