Insert Item under Outlook 2002

I am using Outlook 2002 SP2 on Win-XP Professional. This was a recent upgrade from Outlook 2000. Can anyone tell me how to insert a outlook item in mail like previously received/sent mail or contact.

In Outlook 2000 when you compose a mail there used to be an option called "Insert Item" just below "Insert File" which would let you insert as an attachment an item from your Outlook.

I would first suggest updating to sp3 for outlook. In a reply you will find insert on the toolbar. this is not available from the main window.

Insert is on the bar but only to add a file not and item. Thanks
