I'm pretty sure I did it right and I'm darn sure the description for the inputs was deceptive. I took it back. I'll research another brand.
I was surprised that the Samsung web site does not have any information for this "new" TV. I just purchased it after first planning to by the LN19B360. The cabinet just looked a little more sleek and it's "newer."
The problem is that the specs I was able to find said that it had 1 composite and a component input. Now that the set arrived, I found that you cannot use both at the same time. It has only one video input jack that works either/or depending on your cable and which audio you plug into. So, my plan to set up both my old VCR that is composite and my new(er) DVD player that has component will not work. Even though the Quick Start guide indicates there's a side panel, there is not.
The info for the 360 indicate 1 composite and 2 component inputs. I'm concerned that if I return this unit for what I originally planned (though now disappointed at the prospect of 3-inch size loss, but it's a matter of what I can afford) I might run into the same problem. Even though is *appears* to have more inputs, can you really attach two machines? Am I doing something wrong with the one I purchased? I can't look anything up at Samsung.
Thanks!
